“The House of Tralhariz is connected to the most important families in the region with a history that goes back to the 18th century.

In the past several separate houses were merged into a single one and in a few decades became the most important farm in Tralhariz. In the 20th century it was known as one of the greatest farm houses in the west region of Carrazeda de Ansiães.

The House of Tralhariz was linked to one of the greatest heritages in Carrazeda de Ansiães as it belonged to the well -known Sampaios and Morais. It was also home to two would-be Mozambique governors from different families at different times.”

The House of Tralhariz was purchased by the “Coelho” family in 2003. João Casimiro Coelho, married to Guilhermina Coelho, is from Carrazeda de Ansiães, where he has several real estates. Nowadays he splits his time between this region and Oporto, where he runs other business.

This estate was turned into a rural tourism unit by João Casimiro Coelho along with his son, Pedro Coelho, in a way as to convey the love of the former for his land.

Subsequently his daughter Ana Sofia Coelho joined the family project.

The family is turning Casal de Tralhariz into a cosy and familiar home, with high quality standard in management and costumer service.
