Douro Valley Wine Region
Being in the upper part of Douro, the most untouched and genuine in the valley, Quinta Casal de Tralhariz is an excellent starting point for exploring this entire wine region. Tua Valley Natural Park
Located in the heart of the natural park, Quinta Casal de Tralhariz appears overlooking the mouth of Tua river, at its confluence with Douro. With several walking routes marked from the property, a unique fauna and flora and breathtaking viewpoints, make your stay a time of healthy proximity to Nature in its purest state and contemplation of the beautiful landscapes.
Carrazeda de Ansiães
Typically a rural municipality, with a wide variety of agricultural resources, where wine, olive oil and apples are the most visible products. Ancient land, it displays several points of archaeological and historical interest. It’s also where you can find all types of commerce, at a comfortable distance from the property (10 min by car). In August, the Apple, Wine and Olive Oil Fair takes place here, one of the highlights in the Municipality’s cultural life.
Tua train station
Very close to the property, Tua station offers one of the most beautiful and efficient ways of getting around the region: the train. Always following the river, this is truly an easy and very panoramic way to get around the region. Whether on daily connections or on a historic train, going down the Tua river to Pinhão or Régua, or going up to Pocinho, this is an experience that will remain in your memory.
